Pumas of Patagonia 2023
This Pumas of Patagonia trip is a special kind of photo safari. We will be in SUV's as our guides will be searching for pumas. When a puma is found we will drive as close as the road allows then will be on foot. On my recent 2022 puma trip we were often no more than 40 feet away from these gorgeous animals and often closer if they decided to walk toward us. Most of the pumas we will be photogrphing are comfortable in our presence. On our last trip we counted 30 different pumas and got good images of 20 different pumas. On average we photographed about 6 different cats each day. *Please note that is not a guarantee, just a reference to what I saw on my Patagonia, 2022 trip at the same time of year that we will be going in 2023.
Pumas of Patagonia Itinerary May 23- Arrive and overnight in Santiago. May 24- Fly to Punta Arenas- Drive to our hotel near Tores del Paine National Park May 25, 26, 27, 28- Full days photographing pumas May 29- Morning landscape photography. Afternoon photographing pumas. May 30- Day in Torres del Paine National Park. Morning landscape photography, Afternoon glacier tour. May 31, June 1,2,3- Puma photography June 4- Transfer to Punta Arenas- Fly to Santiago. Overnight in Santiago. June 5- Fly Home Trip Cost & Deposit 2023 The cost of this trip is $10,450.00 US. Deposit is $1700.00 US. If you are a single traveler, your trip cost is $11,800.00. Single deposit is $1700.00 The first six deposits hold our trip and confirms your spot. All the deposits that come in will be sent to the Patagonia tracking company to hold our spots. Our trip is not confirmed until all six deposits are received. 
We will have two vehicles. For those who can hike long distances they will be in one vehicle. Those who can't walk long distances will be in the other vehicle. We may have as many as three vehicles with 9 photographers total. Two guides for two vehicles or three guides for three vehiicles. Everyone must be able to walk at least 100 yards on uneven ground to and from each sighting. Most of the sightings from our 2022 trip were within 100 yards of the vehicle.

Hotel Room at Holiday Inn Express on May 24 and June 4.
Return flights from Santiago to Punta Arenas and road transfers.
